This picturebook was made possible by the inspiring team at HSA and the coordination and support of AK Lovelace.

Teaching artists Dahlia El Broul and Jennifer Prevatt created a curriculum that invited young artists to imagine, draw, write, revise, and make decisions together.

The book grew from shared experiences, ideas, experiments, disagreements, and discoveries. Each page was made
collaboratively and carries the marks of every author.

This book is one example of how situated knowledge along with collective artistic production can
produce what no single perspective could have made. And it can change what a picturebook is allowed to be.
