Taking root without taking over: Two case studies on the micropolitics between art, gentrification, and agency

Copper Leaves Press

is an independent publishing imprint focused on producing artist monographs, graphic novels, and children’s picture books. Founded in 2018 by Dahlia El Broul, the press supports artists who have been left out of mainstream formats, emphasising conviviality and the process of making books that lie outside market structures and institutional reasoning. Currently, we are in the process of many new projects, including a children's book by David Mark with Illustrations by Jessie Walker and an artist's monograph of Mark Kurdziel's paintings since 1986.
